he "Friends of the Penitentiary Museum" are dedicated to the preservation and interpretation of the fascinating history of Canada's Penitentiary System. Some of us have a correctional background. Others have a passionate interest in Canada's history. It would seem we are not alone in thinking exposure to correctional history is key to understanding any society. Currently more than 26,000 people per year visit our award-winning museum. To continue to promote public interest in the history of Corrections Canada and conduct historical and genealogical research, the FPM seeks volunteers and donations.

We are working hard to preserve Canada's story. If you have documents uniforms, photographs, or other items relative to the history of Canada's Penitentiary System we would love to hear from you!
