Canada's Penitentiary Museum would not be such a fabulously interesting place without the contribution of its world-class corps of Volunteers. While many of them are retired staff, with extensive personal experience in the field, many others are members of the local community with an interest in things historical. All bring something personal to the Penitentiary Museum experience!
Our Volunteers perform a number of vital functions at the museum. Some of these are:
- Guiding tours
- Conducting research projects
- Building exhibits
- Working with school groups
- Working with the Curator
- Representing the museum at events
- Fund raising
Thinking of Volunteering? Have a question? Please send us an email. We will get back to you soon!
